It has become an endless source of insight, inspiration, and of course necessary physical exercise. Nature, and the Divine immanent in all things, conveys so much wisdom.

You cannot imagine the peace this little island of contemplation provided, with its exquisite garden in the huge backyard. There was a mysterious presence there, a sacred reality. I would feel it from time to time, especially when I was quietly 11 a Monk in the World sitting in the tiny chapel. Though our community was not very well known, it gave so much to so many people in its years of existence. There was love there, not sentimental love, but the depth of what the Catholic tradition calls charity, or the selfless love of the Gospel.
